MICHIGAN'S FILTER FIRST LAW
In October 2023, the State of Michigan passed legislation that requires all schools and childcare facilities to install lead reducing filters on all consumptive water fixtures.
Schools and facilities must also develop Drinking Water Management Plans and regularly test the filtered water to ensure all children have access to safe and clean drinking water.
